Projects: Art Residency at Bankside Hotel with Contemporary Collective

6th September - 30th October 2022

I had the wonderful experience of artist in residence at the Bankside Hotel with Contemporary Collective, DegreeArt.com and Daler-Rowney from 6th September to 30th October 2022, where I am created paintings in the beautiful Art Yard Makers Studio in the hotel!

I'm worked on the series 'Now Everything's Vivid', which is a collection of abstract paintings looking at colour and form. I investigated how colour and form work together, their relationship with negative space in a painting, and how colour and form create a sense of energy and a language in themselves.

I also had the opportunity to paint a stunning armchair from Sofa.com as part of London Design Festival week.

I had the experience of painting live in the Artyard Bar in the hotel as part of London Cocktail week, making hand painted coasters which were very popular!
